Going in Grace: Meet Your Host
Brandi Stover (00:01.674)
Welcome to Going in Grace, a podcast where we don't just grow in our understanding of God's word, but we go and we use what we learn to make a positive difference in our lives and the lives of others. Here, I, Brandi Stover, and my guests share God's word in practical ways, and we draw life lessons from our personal journeys. Together, we'll explore what it truly means to follow Christ in our everyday lives. How do we show up for ourselves so that we have something to offer others? How do we stay free from what Jesus has delivered us from? How do we live congruent lives where what we feel inside and what we do outside aligns with who God says that we are?
Here on Going in Grace, we want to be real followers of Jesus Christ. We want to keep it simple and we want to keep it moving forward, just like Jesus did. If this sounds like a community that you want to be a part of, subscribe and let's go.
So who am I? My name is Brandi Stover and I am a child of God who has been given talents that help me to learn, communicate, and teach. It has taken me a long time to realize that I am not just what I do or the many roles that I play. The part that I play in God's kingdom is primarily to encourage. If Team Jesus was a sports team, I would be in the cheerleading section, loud and rowdy, encouraging people to win the game. I've applied these talents outside of my home, in the marketplace, in diverse leadership roles, in learning and development, and talent management. In the ministry as an adult, youth, and personal minister, and in my home as the person who turns every situation into a new life lesson.

I play many roles just like each of you. I am a wife of 18 years. I am a mom of three beautiful school-aged children. I am an author, an entrepreneur, and the list goes on. One of my favorite roles is student, both in school and in life. I will finish my fourth degree, a doctorate in Christian ministry this May. But more importantly, in the school of the Holy Spirit, God and I have been working on my getting to maturity. I am happy to say I'm making progress, but I haven't arrived.
I started my journey with God at the age of seven. I loved him and I had a deep respect for him, but I had zero knowledge of God's word. This lack of knowledge presented me with a lot of challenges, including becoming oppressed by a spirit of fear in my teenage years. It was at the age of 14 that I learned how to recognize God's voice.
It was through his teaching, that I experienced his deliverance ministry with nothing but my Bible and the confession of his word. Thank God. I was forever impacted by God's love. That he would interrupt my messed up program to visit me, share with me his word, and teach me how to be free meant everything to me. My deep desire to be his disciple, his student began that day.
I know firsthand that people perish for a lack of knowledge. That is not just a scripture to me. We perish because we don't know God's instructions and what Jesus has done for us. So, we don't apply it and our lives don't change. I have committed my life to God's plan that I first learn and second that I be willing to teach.

You might be curious, why a podcast? This podcast is an outgrowth of God's latest instruction to me. I am supposed to be sharing consistently. I have a talk show that I host with one of my sisters in Christ, and we've done so for the past couple of years. I'm very active in my ministry and my local church. I'm also active by writing books, blogs, and I engage some on social media as well. But, it's become clear to me that my latest instruction is to make sure that I am sharing consistently.
When I sought God for his direction, what did he want me to do specifically? How did he want me to do it? I came up with podcasts. So here we go. I too am going in God's grace as I seek to obey him. On this podcast, we have several core topics.
First, living faith daily. We're going to be exploring practical ways to integrate Christian values into everyday life. This includes work, relationships, and our personal decision-making. Second, biblical wisdom for modern challenges. This is applying biblical principles to navigate contemporary issues like stress, anxiety, and social pressures.
Three, Christ-centered relationships and community. Fostering meaningful connections and cultivating supportive, faith-driven relationships in personal and professional settings. And then finally, spiritual growth and leadership, emphasizing the importance of prayer, scripture, and Christ-like leadership in both personal development and leadership roles.
